The new Chief Executive Officer of the Fowler Family Foundation Robert Hoofman has been making public appearances with self-professed galaholic Laura Fowler, Managing Shareholder of The Fowler Law Firm, PC. The Foundation aims to support the arts and sciences with an emphasis on preserving the rich history of cherished Austin organizations and venues like the Millett Opera House.
That's why it was fitting that Hoofman made his Austin gala debut as CEO of the foundation at the Austin Opera Serenata recently. The Austin Opera was founded in 1986 as Austin Lyric Opera. Led by General Director Annie Burridge and Artistic Director Timothy Myers, the organization does much more than produce world-class operas. It aims to lead the development of new, innovative strategies that increase the scope and impact of the operatic medium in Austin and beyond. The staff also works closely with local schools and community groups to provide robust, responsive educational programs that inspire and engage the next generation of opera singers, fans, and supporters.
