Manuel Rivera practices in the areas of bankruptcy and family law. Formerly the head of the Bankruptcy division at Fulwiler Law, Mr. Rivera possesses extensive experience representing debtors in federal court and is an expert on the new federal regulations in bankruptcy who has served as an advisor many other Texas attorneys adapting their practice to the new law. An attorney who views public service and helping individuals in his community as the highest calling of the law, Mr. Rivera is an invaluable new addition to The Fowler Law Firm.

Mr. Rivera is a native of El Paso , Texas , where he graduated from Cathedral High School in 1996. His academic excellence enabled his admission into Princeton University , where he majored in Philosophy and was a proud member of the Princeton Texans Club and the Chicano Caucus, as well as activities chairman for the Princeton Campus Club. After graduation, Mr. Rivera took a year off to travel throughout Mexico and study at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente, a Jesuit university in Guadalajara . Upon returning to the United States , he attended Baylor Law School where he was involved in both the Environmental Law Society and Minority Law Student Association.

After graduating law school and joining the Texas State Bar, Mr. Rivera clerked for Ramey & Flock in Tyler , TX , before coming to Austin to work as the lead Bankruptcy attorney for Fulwiler Law. Mr. Rivera joins The Fowler Law Firm in order to continue helping members of the Austin community who face personal and financial difficulties, and to continue to practice law with the high professional and ethical standard that he has pursued throughout his career.
