Thomas O'Meara practices in the areas of real estate, civil trials, estate planning and mediation services, and is Board Certified in Civil Trials and Personal Injury Trials. An Austin attorney who has been practicing for the past 29 years, Mr. O'Meara has closed more than 1,000 real estate transactions and has extensive experience in estate planning. He is also an accomplished speaker and author whose expertise is frequently sought out by his peers, and who has earned an impeccable reputation for his integrity and high standards in the practice of law.
Mr. O'Meara earned his B.S. from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1970, and spent several years in active service before transitioning to a reserve position. In 1977, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law. Although his career has been primarily in private practice, since the inception of the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas in the late 1970's he has served as an active volunteer to help low income individuals obtain high quality legal representation. In addition, Mr. O'Meara serves as General Counsel for Family Promise, a national organization advocating for homeless families. As part of his dedication to public service an academia, Mr. O'Meara is also an adjunct professor at Concordia University and Texas State University . Currently, he is teaching at the University of Livingstonia in Africa , and will return to The Fowler Law Firm in January 2008.
